At the Advanced Wellness Centre, we understand how to enhance healing and wellness while promoting our patients quality of life. Our approach involves many disciplines, including: fitness, nutrition, acupuncture, massage therapy and clinical hypnosis. All disciplines work independently or together when necessary with one goal in mind: To restore your body to full function in a way that relieves existing problems, prevents future ones and gives you the feeling of well-being and vibrant health.

Our fitness program begins with a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) which utilizes computerized technology to measure your lean muscle mass to fat ratio. Research has shown that body composition is directly related to health and the BIA allows early detection of an improper balance in your body composition. This awareness fosters prevention before intervention for chronic disease.

The fitness program incorporates a minimum of three workouts per week with a fitness trainer. Fitness training is offered one-on-one or in small groups – not to exceed five in the class. Exercises are designed to burn fat and build lean muscle mass. Building lean muscle mass is critical for caloric expenditure which leads to weight loss.

Our fitness equipment is state-of-the-art and accommodates all levels of fitness, from never exercising, to being a life-long exerciser. Every fitness routine is individually designed for the participant based on fitness and health levels. Our fitness trainers work closely with the patient’s doctor and/or physical therapist to ensure consistency in treatment protocol.
